If you want to see their most "modern" version of the same kinda film then watch the irishman as well (I liked it, some people didnt)

I think it is absolutely hilarious, in meta way, that not a single reactor actually found out that Dee had to know the guns were rubber and played the part of the victim to f*** over Dennis, Mac, Charlie. Dee had one of their weapons in her hand and even said she wanted to murder the others. She actually played her role perfectly. She used the situation of the fake hostage situation to get one over her horrible friends.

These seasons are not as funny. That's it. Mac was good in this one as he rarely is since they changed his personality from explosive to mopey in season 13. It has its moments but it's not the same.

I agree the writing was heavy handed, but I do love the cohesive theme of frank acting like a dog before the whole putting down scene, felt like og sunny

Yeah heavy handed is a good term for it. Some of the episodes this season really roll and feel good, like the first and last episode. They feel like classic sunny. But most of them feel like this one, where everything is so on the nose and over explained or it feels forced. Like the title is one of the worst in my opinion because it's just so tacked on. It has nothing to do with the episode itself and it's just kinda forced into the beginning and the ending. It just happens so suddenly without any subtlety or wit to it. If they made that episode title in the middle of the series, the episode would have been about random things happening throughout the day and somehow Frank just keeps shooting different members of the gang on accident. It would have all been woven together seamlessly. Instead, it's just tossed in carelessly and the rest of the episode is about entirely unconnected threads.

I like that Dennis immediately starts to comment on how the setup isn't good for killing Frank. Man knows how to commit a proper murder and to suggest he would simply shoot Frank on the beach with other people around is an insult to him.
